September 11, A
Day to never forget!
The buzz words of 1776 through
out our Great nation!
Men, women and children all
yelled, "Don't tread on me!"
These words echoed throughout our 13 states bordering the sea!
To our rulers we screamed we are
here and you are there!
We will be Free! We'll lay down our lives! Don't you dare!
The first shot was heard around
the world!
The tyrant King's blood boiled and curdled!
He sent his best armies,
commanders, generals and admirals
Remaining memories of them are but graves and images on
murals!
For the reception they received
was a surprise to them all!
The shots were answered by armies from many nations that came
and stood tall!
We wanted to be free as any
nation could see..
France, Poland and others crossing the great sea...
To lay down their lives on our
hallowed soil
So that we could enjoy the fruits of our toil!
And so the long journey, over
300 years old...
Our sons today travel around the world!
We do battle with evil so others
too can be free!
Don't listen to our foes saying they want to rule us you
see...
For the world was here when our
time of need came about!
Remember, they'll fear us if, "Don't Tread On Me!" are the
words that we shout!
The world that is not free
depends upon you and I
As they hope for their share of what we enjoy as they pray to
the sky!
For we, the people, the land of
the free and the brave!
Are a final hope from captivity.. for we have and are willing
to share what they crave!
